The latest patch for Elden Ring has buffed the strength bleed build again (as if it wasn’t broken before). You can literally one-shot bosses at levels 150 and 200 without any sort of opposition from them.

Many people would have expected an Arcane or a Dex/Arc Bleed build. However, the power that you get from the Strength stat along with Arcane makes you unstoppable. The regular foes won’t offer much of a contest, and the bosses will not survive for long either.

This build shreds people. Be that as it may, you’ll have a hard time against those who are immune to blood. No worries, as you can shift to an occult build for that.

Now, this is a tried-and-tested build that has gained a lot of popularity in the Elden Ring community. Different players opt for distinct weapons, AoWs, talismans, and other stuff. Keeping that in mind, I’ll mention a couple or more options that you can go for within each category.

Strength Bleed Build: Class

Selecting the Hero class in Elden Ring
Hero class in Elden Ring

Class is really important, as it’s the first thing that decides the build. Going with either Hero or Samurai will be the most beneficial with the former being the first priority.

1. Hero

Hero has great Strength and Vigor with a few points in Arcane as well.

2. Samurai

Samurai possess high Dexterity and medium Strength.

Strength Bleed Build: Stats

First, let’s look at the stats then I’ll explain the reason for them.

  • Strength – 62
  • Vigor – 50
  • Arcane – 45
  • Endurance – 30
  • Dexterity – 18
  • Mind – 9
  • Faith – 8
  • Intelligence – 7

Since our build mainly focuses on Strength, we are going to prioritize it the most. Start with 62 in strength and then increase it to 80 after the 150th level.

Arcane is the second stat you should be eyeing to improve, as it is a requirement for a good bleed build. Begin with 45, and then again, we’ll push it to 80 after reaching the 200th level.

Your minimum Vigor should be 40 at all costs. Meanwhile, 50 Vigor should be more than enough to have a high HP and survive fights.

30 Endurance is required for sufficient stamina to wear the armor and gear later on. This is necessary to get the minimum poise of 51.

A rating of 18 on Dexterity is essential to wield advanced weapons.

Lastly, some points in Mind, Faith, and Intelligence will also help in combat.

Strength Bleed Build: Weapons

Usually, you’d want a twin-blade or curved sword for this build. Since we are banking on Strength, the chosen weapon should scale on the same stat.

1. Gargoyle’s Twinblades

This sword will just be the perfect choice for our Strength Bleed build in Elden Ring. Firstly, it scales with Strength and Dexterity. And secondly, it has a long range. The blood loss build-up along with the weight of the weapon is really just the chef’s kiss.

You’ll be able to do both standard and piercing damage, coupled with a special spinning slash. And as you know, the bosses, the Valiant Gargoyles, will drop this weapon after you win the battle in Nokron.

2. Twinned Knight Swords

This is a recommended offhand weapon for the initial playthrough. Again, this scales with Dex and Str and deals tons of damage.

The great thing about it is that you don’t have to defeat any bosses to acquire it. Simply head over to the Altus Plateau, and you’ll find it near the East Windmill Pasture as ground loot.

3. Beastman’s Curved Sword

It was impossible not to include the Beastman’s Curved Sword in the list. This is the best sword of its kind, and like the other two options, it scales with Strength.

It can be easily wielded by defeating the Azula Beastmen in Crumbling Farum Azula. Any of the seven enemies can drop the sword.

Strength Bleed Build: Ashes of War

Seppuku Ash of War
Ash of War: Seppuku

Ashes of war determine the capabilities of your weapon the most after stats. Make sure you choose the four that suit the sword at hand.

1. Seppuku

Seppuku is by far the best Ash of War to use with a bleed build. It gives you 30 physical attack power and boosts the base bleed build-up by 30, which scales with Arcane.

2. Bloody Slash

Bloody Slash gives blood affinity, increases bleed build-ups, and adds Arcane scaling.

3. Royal Knight’s Resolve

The Royal Knight’s resolve in AoW helps in one-shotting the bosses toward the end game. You’ll find a damage increase of 80 on your next landing swing with this.

4. Piercing Fang

Another AoW for a one-shot build. This one not only gives your weapon affinities and skills but also looks cool when activated.

You can also try out other options instead of Piercing Fang if you want. Something like a Lion’s Claw will also work just fine.

Strength Bleed Build: Talismans

Talisman: Lord of Blood’s Exultation

Talismans are accessories that can raise your attacks, power up your defense, and even increase HP. Similarly to Ashes of War, they need to be chosen in accordance with the weapon.

Here’s what I recommend for this build:

1. Lord of Blood’s Exultation

Whenever there’s blood in the surrounding area, your attack power will increase by 20% for 20 seconds.

2. Claw Talisman

The damage of jump attacks will improve by 15%. Stacking it with Raptor’s Black Feathers will increase the damage by 26%.

3. Rotten Winged Sword Insignia or

Doing consecutive attacks will increase the attack power by 6, 8, and 13%.

4. Dragoncrest Greatshield

Increases the HP by 20% by negating physical damage.

Strength Bleed Build: Armor

White Mask in Elder Ring
White Mask

There are many different armor combinations that you can go for. The following are my suggestions:

1. White Mask

Increases attack power by 10% for 20 seconds whenever there’s blood loss.

2. Blaidd’s Armor or Raptor’s Black Feathers

Blaidd’s armor looks pleasing with the build and also gives 28 poise. Meanwhile, Raptor’s Black Feathers will enhance the damage from jump attacks by 10%.

3. Blaidd’s Gauntlets or Elden Lord Bracers

Blaidd’s gauntlet has a fine poise-to-weight ratio and gives 6 poise. Likewise, Elden Lord Bracers gives 4 poise and increases defense.

4. Night’s Cavalry Greaves or Bull-Goat Greaves

Night’s Cavalry Greaves looks great on the character and provides 15 poise to reach the minimum barrier of 51. The same is true for Bull-Goat Greaves.

Strength Bleed Build: Buffs

As the name suggests, buffs buff your weapon. And here are the ones you should choose with this Strength Bleed build in Elden Ring.

1. Strength-Knot Crystal Tear

Increase the Strength stat by 10.

2. Thorny Cracked Tear

It boosts the damage power by 9%, 13%, or 20% on consecutive hits.

3. Bloodboil Aromatic

Increases physical damage by 30% and max stamina by 20%.

4. Rallying Standard

Strengthens damage and defense by 20%.

Strength Bleed Build: Consumables

For the consumables, go for Sleep Pot, Kukri, and Swarm Pot.

And that’s pretty much it. Now go and try out this build yourself to experience some dominant gameplay!
