Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter that he had met with Pope Francis.
According to AFP news agency on the 2nd (local time), Musk posted a picture of him meeting Pope Francis with his four teenage sons on Twitter the afternoon of the previous day, writing, “It is an honor to meet the Pope yesterday.”
This is the first time Musk has posted on Twitter in ten days. He usually communicates frequently through Twitter, but he has been silent for the longest period since October 2017, attracting attention.
Musk did not disclose details such as why and where he met the Pope.
Musk had previously signed an acquisition contract with Twitter on April 25, but abruptly announced that he would suspend the acquisition process.
Meanwhile, Pope Francis has nine Twitter accounts written in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, French, Arabic and Latin. His English Twitter account @pontifex has 18.9 million followers.
