Are you looking for a way to get into Azkaban? The magical world of Hogwarts Legacy is full of thrilling adventures and dangerous challenges, but none are as daunting as the infamous prison of Azkaban. It has been the home of some of the most notorious dark wizards for years, and breaking into it is no easy feat.

However, look no further if you feel brave and thirst for adventure. We have gathered some tips and tricks to help you visit Azkaban!

So grab your wand and explore one of the darkest corners of Hogwarts Legacy. Be warned, this is not a task for the faint-hearted, and not everyone can enter the dreadful prison!

Where is Azkaban Located in Hogwarts Legacy?

While Azkaban doesn’t appear on the game’s map, it is accessible through an early side quest exclusive to one of the four houses.

During this mission, you’ll have the chance to visit this wizarding prison and encounter some of its most fearsome inhabitants: the dementors. But don’t worry; you’ll have Helen by your side to cast the powerful Expecto Patronum spell, which will repel these soul-sucking creatures and protect both of you.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to return to Azkaban once you’ve completed the sidequest. The lock-up you teleport to is small, so take your time exploring and soaking in the atmosphere. Who knows? You might even discover some secrets hidden within the prison’s walls!

Can All Houses Go to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy?

The answer is no; it turns out that getting to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy won’t be an easy feat. You must complete a specific side quest that only Hufflepuff players can access. If you’re a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin, you must sit this out.

But fear not, dear Hogwarts Legacy fans, as there are plenty of other magical mischiefs you can get up to in the game. Whether you’re exploring the castle’s secret passages, dueling with fellow students, or brewing potions in the dungeon, there’s always something new to discover.

And perhaps, in a future update or expansion pack, players from other houses will also get to discover Azkaban. Until then, Hufflepuffs, enjoy your exclusive quest and relish in the knowledge that you alone have access to the wizarding world’s most fearsome prison.

How do you Get to Azkaban?

You can only visit Azkaban if you choose Hufflepuff as your Hogwarts house. That’s right; it’s exclusive to the yellow and black badgers, as told above as well.

You must complete a series of steps to embark on this unique adventure. Let’s check how:

  1. Play through the initial missions of the game until rescuing an old lady.
  2. Head to the Hufflepuff common room and speak to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory.
  3. From there, you must run to Upper Hogsmeade and talk to Helen Thistlewood.
  4. Once you’ve completed these tasks, you’ll apparate to Azkaban alongside Helen.

The mission is conveniently early in the game, so you won’t have to wait too long. It’s an unusual decision to limit Azkaban to Hufflepuffs, but it adds an exciting layer of exclusivity to the game.

So, if you’re eager to explore Azkaban, choose Hufflepuff as your house and prepare for an adventure like no other.

What Happens at Azkaban?

The infamous Azkaban prison is home to some of the magical world’s most famous criminals. This isn’t a casual stroll through the grounds; the players are on a mission to free Anne Thisbe, who is wrongly accused and imprisoned. Over time, she has also become mentally unstable.

Now a cutscene will play, and Anne will talk about Jackdaw’s adventure and a book related to herself. She’ll further let you know of a cave’s location.

After all the talking, she’ll ask Helen for help, and as she steps closer, Anne will attack her with a detrimental spell, and Helen will struggle to even breathe for some time.

At this point, Helen will apparate you and herself out of Azkaban to the cave that Anne was talking about. Here, Helen will overcome the effects of the harmful magic.

While the visit to Azkaban may be brief and linear, it offers a tantalizing glimpse into a location shrouded in mystery and history within the Harry Potter franchise.

Prisoner of Love: How to Solve the Jackdaw’s Cave Puzzle?

To open the door, you need to pull the right handles on both sides of the door. Sounds simple, right? But here’s the catch: You don’t know which handles are right. So, to identify the correct ones, you can use the Revelio spell. This spell will mark the handles with a blue glow, indicating which ones you need to pull.

Once the glowing handles are identified, you can drag them out using Accio. The best part is that you can begin without worrying about the pulling order. But make sure you don’t use Accio on the non-glowing handles, as it will reset the puzzle and you’ll have to start all over again.

When you’ve pulled all the handles correctly, the stone bars blocking the door will open, and you can enter the room to find the Jackdaw’s Clue scroll on a pedestal. It’s a magical treasure hunt!
