The 5G excitement is palpable in the market as consumers await massive network speeds, almost 300 times more than the 4G phones they are using now.

The pull of 5G technology also involves low latency or least delay. What 5G is promising is 20Gbps or 20 thousand megabit per second download speeds. The latency will be crushed to the nano 1milli seconds that is zero lag.

It is expected 5G networks will offer faster download speeds and smoother streaming of online content including streaming movies and games.

The greater bandwidth will also ensure higher-quality video calls and that can make 5G more valuable to businesses and users who are now adjusting to remote working conditions.

Meanwhile, the supply of 5G phones is growing encouraged by chipmakers like Qualcomm who integrated 5G connectivity to their chipsets. Snapdragon 865 is one example.

Samsung Galaxy S20 phones, OnePlus 8, and the LG V50 ThinQ 5G are some of the front runners. However, the top tech company Apple is yet to offer its5G phone. Apple’s 5G move is expected with the next iPhone 12, per reports. Here we are taking a look at four of the 5G enabled smartphones.

Motorola Edge Plus

Motorola Edge Plus comes with Nano-SIM and a quad-camera. Running on the Android 10.0 operating system and powered by Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 Octa-core processor, the screen is 6.67 inches and the screen gives an output of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

LG V60 ThinQ 5G

Reports also that suggest many of the operational 5G connection speeds in the United States have not zoomed to ideal speeds although they are faster than average 4G speeds of 30Mbps.

Currently, the 5G speed is hovering from 100Mbps to 1.5Gbps. In the U.S, Verizon launched 5G is in more than 34 cities, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, where average speeds are around 1.4Gbps. According to IDC forecasts, global 5G connections will cross 1 billion by 2023 and constitute close to 10 percent of all mobile device connections.
